What it checks

The same word rules SellerDesk runs on every listing.

Want the reasons behind them? Read the guide to avoiding takedowns.

  • Protected brand names

43 brands that often report listings using their name. “Compatible with” wording is flagged as worth a check rather than a problem.

  • Copy wording

Words like “dupe”, “1:1 copy”, “AAA quality” or “mirror quality” that say an item copies a branded one.

  • Health and safety claims

Regulator approval and disease claims, which get listings removed, and softer claims like “clinically proven” worth backing up.

  • Banned phrases

Wording eBay’s listing policies forbid outright, like “L@@K”, “replica” or “check my other items”.

Frequently asked questions

Does a clean result mean my listing is safe?

No. It catches common wording that gets listings removed, but eBay and rights owners make the final call, and photos, logos and the item itself matter too.

Can I mention a brand my product fits?

Usually, if you say what it fits rather than what it is: “compatible with iPhone 15”, not “iPhone case”. Keep the brand out of the title’s start and out of the photos.

Is what I paste stored anywhere?

No. The check runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.
