Terms of service

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and SellerDesk for using the SellerDesk app and website. They’re written to be read. The parts that limit what we’re responsible for are in section 13; please read them.

1. Who we are and who these terms are for

SellerDesk is provided by us: SellerDesk, a company based in the United Kingdom (“SellerDesk”, “we”, “us”). SellerDesk is a service for businesses. By creating an account you confirm you’re using it for your business, trade or profession, not as a consumer, and that you’re at least 18. If you sign up for an organisation, such as your company or agency, you agree to these terms on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to; “you” then means that organisation.

2. Your account and your team

  • Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used them.
  • The owners of an organisation decide who joins it, which role and stores each person has, and are responsible for what their members do in SellerDesk.

3. Connecting your marketplace stores

  • You connect stores through each marketplace’s own sign-in. You confirm you’re allowed to connect every store you connect, including stores you run for clients.
  • You can disconnect a store at any time. Disconnecting removes our access to it.
  • You remain responsible for your stores, your listings and your dealings with buyers, and for following each marketplace’s rules and the law.
  • Marketplaces decide what their connections allow and can change it. If they change or limit access, some features may change or stop working. We’ll do our best to tell you when that happens.

4. Suggestions, checks and automated actions

  • SellerDesk drafts listings, suggests prices, answers and other changes, and checks listings for common risks. These help you decide; they aren’t professional, legal or financial advice. Check them before you act. You’re responsible for what you approve.
  • A takedown check that finds nothing doesn’t mean a marketplace will accept or keep a listing. Marketplaces make their own decisions.
  • Some features act on their own once you switch them on, such as the repricer or sending delay notices. They act only within the settings and limits you choose, and you can switch them off at any time. You’re responsible for those settings.
  • Profit figures depend on the data marketplaces provide and the costs you enter. Estimates are estimates; the marketplace’s own records are what count.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SellerDesk to:

  • break the law or any marketplace’s rules, including by selling counterfeit, prohibited or misdescribed items;
  • import or copy other people’s content, photos or trade marks without the right to use them;
  • send spam or misleading messages to buyers;
  • try to get around access controls, rate limits or security, or to reach anyone else’s data;
  • overload, disrupt, copy, reverse engineer or resell the service without our written agreement.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account (see section 11).

6. Your data

You own the data you and your marketplaces bring into SellerDesk. You give us permission to use it to provide, secure and support SellerDesk for you, and to improve the service using information that doesn’t identify you or your buyers. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

7. Data processing

When SellerDesk handles personal information about your buyers and customers, you are the controller and we are your processor. For that information we will:

  • process it only to provide SellerDesk, on your documented instructions (which these terms and your use of the service are);
  • make sure everyone who handles it is bound by confidentiality;
  • keep it secure, as described on our security page;
  • use only the sub-processors named in our privacy policy, give you notice before adding or replacing one, and let you object;
  • help you respond to people exercising their data protection rights, and with security and impact assessments;
  • tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting it;
  • delete it when you close your account, as our privacy policy describes, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • give you the information you reasonably need to show these obligations are met.

Where it leaves the UK, we protect it as described in our privacy policy. You confirm you have a lawful basis to share your buyers’ information with us for these purposes.

8. Our service and intellectual property

SellerDesk, its software, design and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SellerDesk for your business while your account is open. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Fees

Plans and prices are shown on our pricing page. We won’t charge you for anything without telling you the price first, and we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before a new or changed charge applies to your account, so you can decide whether to continue. Unless we say otherwise, paid plans are billed in advance in pounds sterling, prices exclude VAT, and fees already paid aren’t refundable except where the law requires. SellerDesk doesn’t change what marketplaces charge you; your fees and advertising spend with them are between you and them.

10. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep SellerDesk running, but we don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may need to pause it for maintenance. We improve SellerDesk all the time, which means features change. If we remove something important you rely on, we’ll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

11. Suspension and closing your account

  • You can close your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts other customers or SellerDesk at risk, or that a marketplace requires us to cut off. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
  • We may close the service for everyone, with at least 30 days’ notice.
  • When an account closes, your access ends and we delete your data as our privacy policy describes.

12. Other services

SellerDesk works with services we don’t control, such as eBay and other marketplaces, and the providers named in our privacy policy. We’re not responsible for what those services do, including a marketplace suspending your account, removing a listing or changing its fees.

13. Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t legally be limited.
  • Apart from that, SellerDesk is provided “as is”, and we exclude all implied terms, warranties and conditions to the extent the law allows.
  • We’re not liable for loss of profit, revenue, sales, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, for loss or corruption of data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises.
  • We’re not liable for decisions you make or approve using SellerDesk, or for actions taken by a feature within the settings you chose.
  • Our total liability to you for everything arising out of or in connection with these terms in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in those 12 months and £100.

14. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of your listings, your content, or your breach of these terms or a marketplace’s rules, you’ll cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can close your account before then; continuing to use SellerDesk after that means you accept the new terms.

16. General

  • These terms, with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about SellerDesk.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement. We may transfer ours, for example if SellerDesk is sold.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
